ComNav Donates Advanced Surveying Equipment to Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology ITB to Promote Geospatial Education and Research in Indonesia

On September 10, 2025, ComNav Technology Ltd. officially donate a set of advanced surveying equipment to Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology ITB - Institut Teknologi Bandung (FEST-ITB), Indonesia to support the university’s teaching and research activities in the field of geospatial science and engineering.

The donated equipment includes the LS600 Laser Scanner, Jupiter gnss rtk Receiver, R50 Controller, and associated software systems. These instruments will be delivered to the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology, significantly enhancing the university’s capabilities in 3D laser scanning, precision surveying, high-accuracy GNSS applications, and geospatial data analysis, providing students and researchers with state-of-the-art tools for practical training and scientific research.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Colar Wen, Director of ComNav, and his team, Dr. techn. Dudy Darmawan Wijaya, S.T., M.Sc., and Dr. Riantini Virtriana, Head of the Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering Undergraduate Program. During the event, both parties discussed plans for future collaboration in education, research, and technological applications.

This initiative was launched by the Class of 1995 Geodesy alumni, as a meaningful contribution to their alma mater and part of the 30th-anniversary celebration series of ITB Geodesy Class of 1995. The alumni expressed their hope that the donation would enable more students to access cutting-edge surveying technology, develop innovative and practical skills, and contribute to the growth of Indonesia’s geospatial industry.
