ComNav Attended RTCM 104 Special Committee Meeting—Use the Same Method to Handle BeiDou B1 NH Code
Shanghai, China, September 30, 2014—From 7-8 September, RTCM Special Committee 104 on Differential GNSS Systems was held in Tampa, Florida, USA. As the member of RTCM, ComNav attended this meeting with other well known GNSS manufacturers. During the meeting, several topics were discussed and there had different progress on each working group. One of the most important things was the BeiDou ½ Cycle bias issue was solved by implanting the same method to handled BeiDou B1 NH code, which was originally proposed by ComNav Technology Ltd. to BeiDou working group. And all the GNSS OEM board manufacturers agreed to use this method to handle the BeiDou B1 NH code. This could solve different brands’ compatibility issues when using the BeiDou signal. Another thing was the committee voted to hold the next RTCM 104 special committee meeting in Xi’an before the sixth China Satellite Navigation Conference (CSNC) in 2015, and this will be the first time RTCM holds the meeting in China.
As the RTCM member, ComNav started to attend the RTCM 104 Special Committee Meeting since 2013, and it is committed to contribute on the standards development of Differential GNSS Systems.
The Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services (RTCM) is an international non-profit scientific, professional and educational organization. The Special Committees provide a forum in which government and non-government members work together to develop technical standards and consensus recommendations in regard to issues of particular concern.
