RTCM Committee 104 Meeting First Held in China Xi’an
ShangHai, China, May 18, 2015—From 11 to 12 May, RTCM Special Committee 104 on Differential GNSS Systems was held in Xi’an, China, this is the first time to hold this meeting in Asia. As the RTCM member, delegates from ComNav Technology Ltd. attended the RTCM (The Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services) tightly before the three day’s CSNC meeting. This conference is considered to be of historical significance as this is the first time for such SC-104 meeting to be held in Asia. BeiDou Satellite Navigation System is more and more worldwide recognized, which is driven by a number of Chinese enterprises, including ComNav Technology Ltd.
During the meeting, each working group introduced their crucial progress in the aspect of technology development. As a member of BDS working group, the performance achieved by ComNav is impressive. The revised proposal of BDS RTCM IODE has been submitted. It is good news for BeiDou Satellite Navigation Technology developer. Moreover, Chinese authority declares their support to standards development of Differential GNSS Systems. The whole BDS working group proposed to draft BDS Ephemeris Message. In order to drive the committee to pass this Proposal, BDS group spared no efforts to make up protocol before the conference.

The Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services (RTCM) is an international non-profit scientific, professional and educational organization. RTCM members are organizations (not individuals) that are both non-government and government. Although started in 1947 as a U.S. government advisory committee, RTCM is now an independent organization supported by its members from all over the world.
The organization keeps our members involved on regional and international maritime radio navigation and radio communication policy issues, regulatory changes, and technical standards development.
The Special Committees provide a forum in which government and non-government members work together to develop technical standards and consensus recommendations in regard to issues of particular concern.
